5th Grade Math this week....
- April Number Corner--This month will involve more work with volume once again. Students will also work with fractions as related to time and money. In addition, they will review learning on their understanding of decimals and number sense.
- This week we worked on fraction division.
- Next week we will work on exponents and powers of 10.
Literacy this week....
- Module 3--Athletes Leaders of Social Change
- We did some close reading a new text on Jim Abbott. We will be working on recognizing and explaining the similarities and differences between Jim Abbott and Jackie Robinson.
Science this week....
- Ecosystem Restoration Unit Question: How do organisms in an ecosystem get the matter and energy they need to grow and thrive?
- Ecosystem Restoration Chapter One Question: Why aren't jaguars and sloths growing and thriving?
SELS this week...
- Being a new student in a new country.
